The New York office of an AmLaw 100 firm is seeking to hire a counsel for the Real Estate practice. Qualified candidates should have at least 8-10 years of experience handling a broad-based real estate practice, as the firm’s practice covers purchases and sales, leases and ground leases, joint venture agreements, borrower and lender-side financing transactions and the real estate aspects of corporate transactions with substantial involvement with foreign clients and in hospitality. The ideal candidate can manage a transaction as ’First Chair’ from its inception to conclusion. The role requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and a proven willingness to accept significant responsibility and manage a varied and stimulating workload within a collaborative environment. The role will involve training and utilization of junior associates. The successful candidate will assist in the growth of the firm’s business (and the New York Real Estate group) through interaction with clients and potential clients and participation in industry organizations. An AmLaw 100 Washington, DC Law office is seeking a senior level Real Estate attorney (15+ years of experience) with commercial transactional real estate experience. The successful candidate will have significant experience in the following: (i) drafting and negotiating documents in connection with the disposition, acquisition, development of commercial real estate, (ii) negotiating and drafting primarily office related leases whether for landlords or tenants, with retail and industrial lease experience a plus, (iii) analyzing title and survey and addressing due diligence issues, and (iv) handling the settlement process.
