Prestigious firm has an immediate opening in Houston office for a Public Law Associate with two to fthe firm years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working with governmental entities and with the Public Information Act, the Open Meetings Act, and all phases of public law litigation (such as condemnation and Civil Rights Litigation) including, but not limited to, experience conducting investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, participating in mediation, and communication with clients. Experience in both state and federal court is preferred. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in the Texas public law practice. The candidate must have an excellent academic record, superb writing skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work the firm with a team, superior judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Federal judicial clerkship experience is preferred. Candidates must have a Texas bar license or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.
