Seeking intelligent, hard-working and self-motivated attorney with five to eight years of experience to join our Eminent Domain & Inverse Condemnation Practice Group in our San Diego, Los Angeles or Oakland office. Qualified candidates must have excellent academic credentials, outstanding analytical capabilities, superior research and writing skills, a strong work ethic, a proven ability to work in teams and an interest in building a practice. Candidates must possess significant experience with discovery, including e-discovery and law and motion practice. Public entity and eminent domain experience is preferred but not mandatory. This position affords an opportunity for a motivated and qualified associate to gain significant litigation and trial experience on a wide array of public entity-related land acquisition issues throughout California. Prestigious firm has an immediate opening in Houston office for a Public Law Associate with two to fthe firm years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working with governmental entities and with the Public Information Act, the Open Meetings Act, and all phases of public law litigation (such as condemnation and Civil Rights Litigation) including, but not limited to, experience conducting investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, participating in mediation, and communication with clients. Experience in both state and federal court is preferred. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in the Texas public law practice. The candidate must have an excellent academic record, superb writing skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work the firm with a team, superior judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Federal judicial clerkship experience is preferred. Candidates must have a Texas bar license or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.
