Suburban Maryland law firm seeks an entry level paralegal to assist with local and national commercial real estate transactions. Duties include reviewing letters of intent, contracts, and loan commitments; drafting closing transaction agendas, organizational consents, opinion letters, and closing documents; conducting due diligence tasks; examining and analyzing complex title reports, zoning records, and ALTA surveys; and drafting title insurance commitments and policies. College degree or paralegal certificate strongly preferred. Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required. The successful candidate will be motivated, eager to learn about commercial real estate transactions, and will possess excellent organizational, writing, problem solving, analytical, communication, and client service skills. Strong accounting skills beneficial for preparing settlement statements, balancing escrow accounts, and computing title insurance premiums and transaction costs. Competitive salary/benefits package.
